Bilateral cooperation between Mažeikiai and Paide schools

Kalnėnai Progymnasium from Mažeikiai, Lithuania and Roosna-Alliku Primary School from Paide, Estonia with the support of their English teachers and taking part in a bilateral activity called “Friendly to the earth”.

The activity aims to acquaint students with the goals of sustainable development, the principles of the circular economy, to understand their importance and strengthen the awareness and understanding of students.

Teachers in both countries used the Kahoot tool to prepare test materials for ‘We are Recycling’. A sample of the test can be found in this link.

The activity has been encouraged and is supported by partners from Mažeikiai and Paide from the Circular Based Waste Management which aims to cooperate with schools as part of raising awareness in Circular Economy topics.

The Circular Based Waste Management project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation – eeagrants.org.
