The regional fair of student companies “eXpo 2022” took place in the Entertainment Hall of Mažeikiai Culture Center. School students from Mažeikiai, Naujoji Akmenė and Ukmergė cities presented their business ideas and the products of “school student companies”.
Over 300 students and 12 companies registered for the event. 11 nominations were established, including 3 prizes.
Mažeikiai District Municipality, participating in the project “Circular Based Waste Management”, which is financed by the EEA-Norway Financial Mechanism Regional Cooperation Fund, established a prize for the “Most Sustainable Young Company”.
This prize was won by student company “TFLT” from Jonas Basanavičius Gymnasium of Ukmerge city. Their products were souvenirs and various items from glass waste. Other awards were established by Mažeikiai businesses. The best 3 companies – the winners of this regional event will go to Vilnius for the final round of eXpo 2022, which will take place in May 2022.
