Earth Day: Waste sorting lectures in schools

On the occasions of World Earth Day on 20th March and International Mother Earth Day on 22nd April, the Telšiai Region Waste Management Centre, declared the month between these dates as Earth Conservation Month. During this time, schools and educational institutions in the region that agreed to participate, were visited by representatives of the centre to give lectures on correct waste sorting.

The lectures included discussions with the children and teachers on how correct waste sorting is beneficial to the environment and how not sorting waste properly is harmful. A total of 11 institutions were visited including 8 kindergartens, 2 schools and Telšiai center “Viltis”.
