I’m a frequent flyer here and there have been times I have queued. Yes, it’s frustrating, but I understand that the skips need to be collected, and that it may not always run to a set time.

I have always found the staff to be courteous and helpful. There’s nothing wrong with having a bit of a joke, and I’d rather see them enjoying their work than standing around looking miserable.

Absolute joke tip opens at 8am and then just before 9am it closes for 30 mins to move skips around couldnt this have been done before it opened

We are new to the area l have gone sometime and some of the men will not help just stood around but l dont know if he's the boss there but his name is John whot a brilliant man he is will not see a woman struggle and so pleasant he's brighten the place up with flowers and a big teddy when we went this morning put a smile on our face ⭐

Compared to other local refuse site (Wigan for example) there are a number of things that go in the non recycled bin that other councils recycle

Every visit your queued waiting - excessively long amounts of time 30+ minutes -
Laughing and joking as they ride the tractor into fence moving skips about . Inside is always a mess, glass on the floor is an expected occurance . If the workers are to be see, as usually inside the hut . They will be found in a group 3/4 socialising . No help is ever offered or advice - one worker find it amusing to make random comments or noises every time your in there - with this all other workers have a laugh at his noises . Which is very unnerving and disturbing when in there .
Compare this to St Helens skips same size site , may be a queue but super organised - no long waits even when moving skips about - and polite, helpful staff . No fears of getting punctures on each visit
