I was lucky enough to have a Bristol Pilot Cutter called Merlin of Falmouth built by Dave Cockwell and his team of craftsmen. It took 2 years to complete the project and, 11 years later, she still delights me every time I see her. The workmanship is exemplary and Dave's sympathetic approach and attention to detail are a key factor in this. I am not easy to please, I know, but Cockwells delighted me - a prefect boat, on time, on budget and totally brilliant in every respect. To achieve these results, Dave sets himself high standards and he expects his team to follow his example. Over many years, Dave has been a willing source of information and advice. I recommend Cockwells to any discerning sailor seeking excellence.
