Wish I could give zero stars!!
The smell woke me up last night, despite having all windows and vents closed and having 2 air purifiers in the house!
I'd love the owners of it to live here and think it's OK, with their 'we do all we can to minimise the smell'. Bet they live miles away where they can open their windows without worrying!!

Moved away from the area last year due to my respiration becoming increasingly worse living near this place. People arn't exaggerating that the entire area stinks and is hard to breath in, the air quality is appauling. It was a big stress having to move but where health is concerned I feel like I had new lungs installed after I left the area, I don't wake up weezing or with migraines anymore.

The acrid stench of this hellish place drifts far and wide, affecting the health and welfare of local residents and making a visit to the area- for instance to Keele University, or to one of the beautiful green spaces- unpleasant to say the least. Little effort has been made to ensure this site operates in a safe and effective manner, and even less effort seems to be being made to deal with the residual contents now the site has been shut down. Absolutely shameful.

Despite being closed down, the stench is still overwhelming. Woke me from my sleep at 5am (not much can normally wake me!) - it's -3ยฐ outside, all my windows are closed but the smell has got into my whole house - I'm guessing through the 1 trickle vent that is open. Makes me feel nauseas.

Absolutely disgusting stench has been going on for years. Think methane, rotten eggs & rotting flesh. It's January 15th 2025 and the stench is worse than ever. I live next to the Lyme Valley and every night all the windows are tightly shut, but this disgusting stench still gets into the house.
This has been going on for decades. No matter what the local council (Staffs County Council), MPs and the 'Enviromental Agency' say, this disgusting stench continues. Why bother voting? It changes nothing. This filthy disgusting tip shows where the real power lies. Red Industries.

Recently moved into accomodation at Keele University. Thankfully we don't smell the quarry too often, as we're southwest of it, but when we do it's unbearable.

I've recently been experiencing regular nosebleeds. I don't know for certain if it's because of the quarry. But having read other reports from residents who've presented similar symptoms due to the fumes, I'm inclined to believe it is.

Driven past this evening and the smell was that bad it made me heave. I feel so sorry for the people who live close by and deal with this on a daily basis. Evidently the owners attitude stinks just as much as the tip does - especially knowing what theyโ€™re doing to the surrounding communities.
