Booking was easy. However, when I arrived and said “Good morning” to the chap on the metals bin, the reply was; “Nothing good about it.”
I then made the mistake of putting part of my old bed frame the ‘wrong way round’ on the table.
I was told “It would help if you put the rest of your stuff across the table and not lengthways.” Plus a few other mumblings.
The young lad on the wood bin was very helpful, but I almost found myself telling the older bloke where to shove the metal. He was so rude.

Visited today to make use of the little shop and was greeted by an older lady very miserable who asked what we wanted on arrival we said we had come to visit the shop she said well we are close till 1.30 very rude very aggressive the man running the shop said well could use the shop but we won’t be returning ever can see why there’s so much fly tipping when people working at these places are so aggressive and rude

The booking process was very simple and straightforward, but on arrival in my allocated timeframe, a weekday morning, the car park was completely full. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes to be able to park in a space. There were a few staff members, but nobody willing to help empty a slightly heavy item out of the back of my car, meaning I had to struggle with it by myself.

The bins are up a flight of stairs, so not suitable for wheelchair users.

The reuse shop is okay, but they seem to be asking a bit much for dumped items, and the bikes and golf clubs are left outside, so get rusty quickly.

It's convenient for location and ability to dispose of recycling and refuse, but I feel if they are booking spaces for using the facility, they need to look at reducing the spaces available to stop such overcrowding.

Had an issue with my booking which was my fault, but resolved easily, quickly, and good humouredly. Spoke to three staff (including the lady who charged for dumping plasterboard) and even in the pouring rain. everybody was friendly and helpful. Things seem to have changed.

Marchwood tip was easy to set up for an appointment and was easy to ask for help with unloading my car.
I asked the person who was checking number plates if I could get help because I'm disabled and cannot walk upstairs to put any rubbish in there bins and the young lady who works there help me.

Well I never thought I'd be writing a good review about Marchwood tip having previously had a few bad experiences but on this occasion it was different.......A young lady employee on the skips was polite, very helpful and friendly, she even laughed at my venetian blind joke!......it certainly wasn't like she was doing me a big favour for letting me dump my rubbish which has happened in the past......I was pleasantly surprised.
