Seen a Golf on Auto Trader. Was A bit far away, I live in Cornwall and the car was in York . I like to have a look or test drive before buying. It was just the car we were looking for though. I messaged Glen, he called me back straight away and as soon as I heard his voice I knew he was a genuine guy. From the first phone to the car arriving Glen has been brilliant. The car itself is immaculate.

I recently purchased a 2L Golf TDI from GB Autocare, and I couldnā€™t be more impressed with the entire process. From the moment I reached out to Glenn for more details about the car, to visiting the dealership and driving away in my new vehicle less than two weeks later, every step was seamless.
The team at GB Autocare was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. It's clear they care about their customers, and their professionalism made the entire experience stress-free.
Glenn went out of his way to answer all my emails, no matter the time of day, and kept me informed at every stage of the buying process. Since I was purchasing a 2015 plate car with 124k miles, I asked if it would be possible to have the cambelt changed. Glenn made sure this was done, along with a full service, new cambelt, two new tyres, and an aux beltā€”all completed before I even came in to view the car, which I am very impressed with.
When I visited to collect the car, my mum and I were greeted by Jack, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As it was my first time meeting someone from GB Autocare in person, Jack made us feel right at home. He gave us a thorough walk-around of the vehicle, explaining all the specs, and took me on a test drive while answering all of my questions along the way. Once I knew my decision was made, Jack took us into the office and guided us through the necessary paperwork, making the final steps smooth and easy. We shook hands and thanked him for his help.
Unfortunately, after bringing the car home, the engine management light came on with an error code indicating an issue with the DPF sensor. As someone who had dealt with constant issues with a previous car, I was understandably a bit disheartened. However, I reached out to Glenn that evening, and he called me back promptly on Monday to discuss the next steps. My initial preference was to take the car to a nearby garage and use the warranty, but when the garages I requested Glenn to contact were busy or didnā€™t respond, Glenn went above and beyond. He arranged for one of his drivers, Rob, to collect the car on the Friday morning and provide me with a courtesy car in the meantime.

Rob was also fantasticā€”friendly, and lovely to chat with during the exchange. The car was looked at in the garage, where it was confirmed that the DPF sensor was faulty. It was promptly replaced, and the entire vehicle was checked over to ensure everything was running smoothly. The car was also driven to make sure it was regenerating properly, which is crucial for a diesel engine. After the work was done, my car was ready the following Monday.
Being 95 miles away from the garage, I understand that delivery time slots depend on availability, but Glenn was very accommodating. I also asked if it was possible for fuel to be provided upon delivery, and Glenn said that would be fine, which was much appreciated. Rob delivered the car this afternoon at a time that worked for both of us, and as promised, there was fuel in the tank, and the engine management light was gone.
The level of care and service I received from GB Autocare has been outstanding. Usually, Iā€™m a bit doubtful about buying a car 'online,' but everything is exactly as you read in these reviews. Theyā€™ve all gone above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, both before and after the purchase. I cannot fault anyone I encountered during this exchange, and Iā€™m extremely thankful for all the measures everyone has taken for me. Iā€™m happy with my car and the whole experience, and I highly recommend GB Autocare to anyone looking for a trustworthy, professional, and customer-focused dealership. Thankyou!
