They're brilliant, so helpful. It's usually just drive in, no waiting for a space. The staff are really great .just wish they'd take everything there is, they won't take car parts, asbestos and a few other things, and this is partly why fly tipping happens.

What a lovely team! I went there today for the first time. It was Thursday afternoon and it was very quiet. Unfortunately my local recycling centre doesn’t recycle hard plastic but they do. While I was unloading my boot (I just had one large bag of stuff) and walking around between different containers I was approached and offered help probably by 5 different staff members. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and nice. Great place!

The thing you have to take into consideration is simply the time you visit. Avoid weekends unless you go early or later on, very busy so expect queuing, so I go in the week , if at all possible and you will have very little problems, and end up in the parking area most times. The Staff are helpful but very busy, so have a little patience and they will give information you require sooner or later if there's quite a lot of people visiting. This was especially so during lock down, but has got so much like back to normal at present. Would recommend this site.

Went today with carpet and general household waste. Was allowed to leave carpet but household waste refused. I was told the bags have to be emptied and deposited in each individual skip. Most people like myself bag general household waste. Apparently that's not allowed anymore. Bloody ridiculous

At the end of the day it's a tip. Recycling, general waste, building materials etc.
Anybody loading thier car with items to dispose of at the tip should be prepared to get them out at the other end. As far as I know, the staff are there to make sure Health and Safety is adhered too, advise where to tip things, and not empty your car for you. Going with the expectation of having your own personal loader is a bit arrogant and presumptuous.
But they do help because they are checking to make sure nothing "sellable" is thrown away.
What would be interesting is if there was a board showing how much money was MADE from selling our "sellable" items to the companies which collect our stuff FROM the tip. Just a thought.
