I use the tip a few times a year…always a good experience but yesterday was great and all down to Keith! What a lovely helpful chap! He said he would lift the garden waste in with my friend and women shouldn’t be doing such things ( it was super heavy so I didn’t mind!) Then he noticed my recycling box had holes in it from where they bash on the lorry and came out with a new one …
Very good experience..would definitely use again 🤣

The new Reuse Shop is a brilliant addition to the Waste Recycling Center at Avonmouth.
They offer an assortment of items that have been donated by individuals, and saved from either landfill or recycling.
The staff working at the Waste Centre are polite in suggesting that some items could find a second-life through the Reuse Shop.
As for the Reuse Shop its self- there is LOADS of variety in what's available. Stuff ranges from used items that have loads of life left in them, to new-unused items that the owners never got around to using.
The
Prices are extremely reasonable- the focus is on giving items a second-life, rather than making money.
Parking is quite tight, so a little inventiveness may be required, as you can't leave your vehicle on the Waste side of the site.
Hopefully this kind of thing becomes more common in the future!
The Reuse Shop times are not the same as the main centre. They're open Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 15:00!

The tip is now much better than it used to be. Very organised, polite gatekeeper, helpful signs everywhere. Booking a slot is easy and therefore not such big queues. Well done !!

Turned up at the recycling center to be told that either identification was needed or an appointment by an extremely grumpy rude older Gentleman. Complete and utter jobs worth.

Very organised, have to book in advance to go there…I needed to dispose of pulp, wet wood pieces, a lot of unused paint, garden waste & cardboard…was no issue using this site. Staff are very helpful & use this site often. You can dispose of near enough anything you have in your home, garden, shed & tech gadgets.
