What a great place!
Went back 3 x in one day as there were so many items we wanted to buy.
The staff/owners are super friendly and welcomed our two dogs inside.

Might be ok if you want to buy BUT not if you’re wanting to sell. Contacted Fern Antiques twice now first time was re some paintings they said yes no problem bring them down. Took them in and they just said you’d be better off taking them to auction wouldn’t even give a price. Second time I contacted them re some gold jewellery I asked if they buy jewellery was told yes. I asked as I didn’t want to waste yet another journey if they weren’t bothered. Went in saw 1 person, told me I’d be better off at a jewellery shop. I explained I had already spoken to someone and they said yes they do but Jewellery and I would have driven all the way if I’d been told no. He said he’d speak to the jewellery buyer I over heard what he said to her!!!! So knew already what she was going to say. Yep I was right you’d be better off going to a jeweller they wouldn’t even give me a scrap price!!! A total waste of my time! Why not tell the truth in the first instant and say no you don’t buy. The lady didn’t even really seem that interested as well. So I’d say if your wanting to sell DONT GO HERE. Nothing either said when I said I was told yes bring them in and we’ll give you a price, same as they said re the paintings. Would not recommend at all to people.

Lovely place, great variable stock with pieces from ancient to vintage. The guys in store are lovely, knowledgeable, helpful, funny and friendly. Not just worth a visit, it's an absolute must place to visit.

A great little place for antiques, tucked away in Jesmond you will find the best Antique store in Newcastle where almost anything can be found, from paintings to mirrors, to furniture to pendant lamps, almost anything from many ages can be discovered here.
