Would give 0 if I could. What a waste of time. No staff about, no clear instructions on what to do and considering I'm not a scrappy and have never been to a scrap yard before I had no clue what I was doing. Reception was locked, no staff about, spent about 15 mins trying to find someone and only spotted the small window due to another customer using it. Bloke on the window was useless and didn't provide any clear instructions. Drove onto the scale and sat for 5 mins as he didn't explain I needed to go back to the window for him to take the weight. Drove through and dropped the scrap off at the correct number which I had to look up on the website as again the bloke on the window was of no help, and then back onto the scale and to be then told he didn't take the initial weight. Ended up just leaving the scrap and going home. Total waste of time. Will certainly look else where next time. 0/10

Turned up at 10.45 my turn at 11am, literally pulled shutter down while I stud there, went to office and basically told to do one, they had jobs to do etc, they close at 11.30, wasted my morning going down there, have used for years but honestly won’t go back, standards have massively dropped.

Very helpful safewear on hand stafe very polite not like the old days on getting home on checking my bill I found I had not been paid for my metal this was cleared in 2 minutes by a phone call great job lads

Went here for the first time on Thursday after relocating to Whitley Bay 3 months ago as we had an old water tank and a few bits of copper from our loft and 2 old garden chairs I nearly went to the Tyne Port but wasn’t sure wether I could take it there,so I decided to take it to the Sunderland yard,I can honestly say I’ve never been to a scrap yard which is so well run,the guy who was doing the weight bridge was really friendly and helpful and all the other staff was very polite and helpful.well done all thanks

Opening times are wrong. Turned up at 4pm when it says they shut at half 4. They turned me away cause it’s changed to 4pm closing, turned up the following day at 12:15pm. Turned away cause they are shut from 12 till 1:30 for dinner. Turned up again at 3:15 and turned away cause they said I was too late. Won’t be using again

Went in for the 1st time in years today. What an experience.. staff and customers nearly fighting. Different prices depending on who you are and staff are very rude. Plenty more scrap yards in the area with similar prices but less chew on.
