I just been to the skip to get rid of a oven and gas top on entry I asked the man please can I have help as I carnt manage to lift it out my self I had my disability badge showing he said yes just ask and someone will do it parked up asked a work man if he could help he turned round and said you have to do it your self I was not happy two men in a pick up truck who was also getting rid of stuff said it's ok my love we will help you that was very kind of them I just cannot believe how rude the man was he clearly was not bothered and clearly did want to help

Shutting on Wednesday is causing long queues on other days with resulting road chaos. There are no other places in York to go to. Staff are always very helpful.

Great staff and organisation, but crazy long queues since the council closing the tip on Wednesdays. Doesn't encourage recycling.

Just crossed the whole of York ( on the advice from the York website for James st recycling centre) to find the recycling centre closed.
Why the hell don’t you keep it up to date, I’m sure you’ll not pay for my time and fuel.
And you wonder why people fly tip.
