Air b&b. Not a great start with the entrance, but inside the two bedroom flat was clean and functional. The smell from the downstairs restaurant was off putting. Over all an enjoyable stay in Brighton

Great place for decent furniture and antique items, the owner knows his stuff and is old school, not a bullshit merchant! Highly recommend!

Fairly regular turn around of stock. We go in there quite often, as we live in Brighton. I'm little surprised by the 'grumpy' owner reviews. Might be a bit of a 'straight shooter', but he always greets us, has a bit of a banter and a bit of a laugh even if we are just browsing.
And he has helped us about by phoning around if he knows someone on the grapevine might have what you are looking for.

Quirky antiques shop, and fun for a quick browse, but I wasn’t personally that keen on any of the items displayed.

Indoor/outdoor second-hand dealer with reasonable prices. One of the places we like to pop in on a regular basis. Not always successfully but sometimes find a good bargain (slightly wobbly GPLAN chairs for a tenner each the best so far). Reasonably good turn around on stock so pays to revisit.

Went and saw an antique oil burner for a relative. Had a look at the burner and just was on phone with our relative regarding it. Asked the guy regarding the price, and our relative has decided to come and see herself. As we walked out, one of his “mate” on the door said “I bet they have stolen”. I was really shocked at that snipe comment, but I just continued walking as they continued chatting. Really shocked and Disappointed with this as I do go in there quite often since I live in the north laines. I am leaving this review to express how inappropriate that comment was. If you think I have stolen something, confront me? No? Wont be going back at all, and will avoid this place.

I've always been attracted by bric-a-bracs, second-hand and antique shops, so whenever I pass 'Diplocks' I can rarely stop myself from walking in. And without any exception, I am always disappointed. A bunch of grossly overpriced items jumbled together with seemingly little respect for either objects or customers by the premises' owner. Speaking of whom: today he snapped at a man and his toddler to 'GET OUT'. Wow. I'm not walking in again.
