Difficult situation yesterday was made so much easier yesterday, 8th December 3024 when I got to this facility 2 hours early and the employee checking my vehicle in still allowed me to enter. Ferries over from mainland were severely impacted by storm darragh, I'd then been clesring my late father's bungalow, but was concerned about getting back to the mainland. This employee was completely empathetic with the situation. I don't know his name but huge thanks to him.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I would like to sing the praises of John (Noddy) one of the council workers on site. He helped us get our very complicated mountain of items in all the right places and even carried our heavy boxes and emptied many of them for us. What a star!!!

Had a large load of wood to empty out which took longer than usual as I was on my own and the containers were full to spilling over. Turned up on time for 5.30 slot. Staff pleasant until I was on the last couple of bits to unload, they were busy cleaning and chatting at this point. Asked the woman employee which skip and all I got was "hurry up we are closed" she continued this rude and unhelpful attitude problem with the other 2 remaining customers. An offer of help would have gone some way to getting us to leave quicker.

Why on earth would the staff start making up rules pointing to the signs telling me I’m not allowed to drop off metal and when ask to show me Obviously, The signage saying Metal then he proceeded to tell me not if it’s a car part even if it is metal and it does say on the website if not on the sign and when I tried to pull the website up he then proceeded to try i’m tress pass me from public owned property they should take them silly Day-glo jackets off and just give them a little flashing light on their head

Without a doubt the best tip I have been to. Came here while on a trip the island and it was brilliant. And free! Note: No cafe or gift shop but didnt spoil it for me. I'll definitely be back! Cant reccomend highly enough if you like a trip to the tip.

While I can appreciate that anyone not aware that 'booking is required', will be upset if they turn up 'on spec'. I am of the opinion that this slight inconvenience, is more than balanced out by the faster service. In a drive to free up some space at home, I have been a regular over the winter months, and have always found the staff both helpful and considerate, regardless of the weather.
