The options of facilities for disposal provided at this site are very good and have increased over time. There are however issues, which is why ive only given my review 4 stars. The site isn't that big overall, and it can become quite busy at times, especially at the weekends. Sometimes the interactions of vehicles / pedestrians within a tight space requires more control by the staff. The staff in general are polite and helpful, but beware there is one older chap who is a complete jobs worth and just likes to command operations from his high horse.

Another issue is the fact that you have to climb up a set of metal stairs to throw away most of your waste items. If you are frail or not very mobile, best you take someone to help with lifting and carrying. And during wet or cold weather the steps can become slippery, I have witnessed many mishaps. Lastly the opening times seem to favour one group of person, certainly not those who have to go to work. Would be better if it opened later in the morning and closed later say 5 - 5.30pm.

Staff walk about with cups of tea in hands with a power ego while older customers struggle with garden waste up steps with bags of rubbish. Unhelpful staff who need changing for more helpful customer focused people.

Was able to dispose of stair carpet and a used mattress. They helped to carry the mattress up the steps.

Easy booking. We'll organised with helpful staff. Not too many people at one time so safe distancing. Clearly marked containers. Handrails sprayed against Covid. Easy parking with large spaces.

Well organized new lay out is alot better staff very polite and nice to see them wearing PPE up to the nines, and disinfecting hand rails around the skips.

Great Experience at the Devizes HRC.
1st time I've managed to get a slot booked since lockdown started..

HOWEVER, I am concerned about the Increased numbers of roadside Fly Tipping.. a trip to Shaftesbury had me see 3 incidents of this. 2 lots of Sofas and a pile of junk Inc a washing machine.

I work in Hertfordshire and they have stopped using the Book a Slot.
Wiltshire would do well to rethink this Slot Booking, or brace itself for more environmentally damaging fly tipping.

Not busy. Much easier with free access now that the booking system has been abandoned. Helpful staff.
