Generally well laid out given constraints of site (upper and lower levels). Garden and general waste is on upper level. Soil, rubble, electrical waste and most large items on the lower level. There are steps between the two levels. Can get quite congested at times. Upper level tends to be busiest. More room to manoeuvre on lower level. Sometimes a queue on the road outside to gain entry. Please queue carefully. Usually a lot of parked cars and Council depot is next door. Try not to get into an argument with a refuse truck!!

It’s a small and inadequate site but the guys there are excellent. Arrived in a queue at 3.45pm before a 4pm closing time. The guys made sure everyone in the queue got cleared and were courteous and cheerful. All on a hot Saturday. Well done them

Some of the reviews are a little rough, so to balance things a little I wanted to add my personal experience.

I had about 8 bags of clothing and shoes to recycle, along with some old pots and pans, and electrical goods.
I parked in the lower area and commenced depositing the old clothing when one of the recycling team offered to help.

He took all the pots and pans etc. off my hands and deposited them in the appropriate bins on the upper level.
His actions were very thoughtful, as it saved me trying to re-join the traffic queue to the top of the ramp, which is always a little awkward.

The staffs are very helpful and the place is tidy and has spaces! Would recommend!

Often long queues, reversing into parking spaces on top level is very tight and bins are often full to overflowing making it hard to dispose of things. Only positive is that many heavy items don’t have to be dragged up steps.

Staff usually courteous and helpful but one guy, loitering near the portacabins downstairs, was very officious and patronizing when l visited on Tuesday afternoon. He needs re-training....

Have been visiting this recycling centre for many years. Overall my experiences have been positive, the staff do their best under sometimes difficult circumstances as the centre is too cramped. If you choose the time of your visit carefully the queue is usually only 2 or 3 vehicles.
