They don't deserve the 1* honestly!

I dont know where to begin with this "business".

They missed collections for weeks on end, extra charges added without any rational explanation, they tell you false information just to get you off the phone.

Bins were dumped in the road when they actually bothered to collect despite being a busy road.

They left my food business with no waste bin for 6 weeks as they changed supplier with no prior knowledge leaving me with dirty nappy and sanitary bins for 12 weeks and no waste bins at all, just came one day and took the bins away.
Took weeks chasing them to get a bin.

I've been charged for extra weight several times despite the bins being full because they hadn't been for weeks to collect them, meaning I had extra bags.

Avoid these and any associated business depending what name they decide to trade under that week at all costs.

Check out a Facebook group called unhappy cheaperwaste customers before even considering these guys and if you have the misfortune as I did to already have agreed to use them the group is a great support and help when they try and scam you and they will!

So been a customer of Cheaperwaste for 2 months now. What they take from your account isnt what they quote initially, everything they quoted was on a "4 week system" then take extra as some months are more than 4 weeks. Next to get them to actually collect the waste is done by a third party so best of luck if its not collect, make sure you ave cctv and solid evidence as they cant help you otherwise because they have an email saying everything was collected.. see my "collected" bin below

Would give zero stars if I could.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Blaming our company for their companies mistakes, and trying to charge us to rectify their errors. Leaving us in an appalling situation due to mis-collections of bins.
Not the first problem we’ve had with this company. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND.

Update: they eventually took me to court for the debt and lost. I won my counterclaim against them, the debt was written off by the judge and they were ordered to pay me several hundred pounds, including my court fees and petrol money. Don’t let them intimidate you, they’re nothing but bullies and their court cases are a desperate attempt to silence their victims.

Took a contract out with them in january last year. During lockdown they missed several collections. I asked to cancel my contract in august and was given a quote for cancellation but i had already paid september's direct debit. Didn't hear from them for weeks, multiple missed collections once again and this time they lied and said the bin wasn't available for them when they turned up. They then came back to me in november with a quote for cancellation after I informed them that I'd cancelled my direct debit due to lack of response to my emails and no collections for weeks. I asked for a breakdown of my cancellation fees and refunds owed for missed collections, I've still not received them. Now, 9 months after requesting to cancel my contract, I get a solicitors letter demanding almost £600 in termination charges, yet I was quoted £121 in august 2020 and then £113 in november...

Absolute scammers. AVOID

Do not trust this company for business waste collections. We were charged huge sums of money for excess weight although it was part of the contract. Eventually stopped paying and cancelled contract and they took us to court for ridiculous reasons - they didn’t even bother turning up to court on the day and we won the case. How this company is still allowed to operate is beyond me.

Terrible company to deal with. Hound you for a contract, then as soon as you sign up can’t get a hold of anyone. Nobody communicates within the business, so even when you do it’s not fixed until a couple of phone calls later.

They don’t respect your communication wishes, and tried to call me constantly even though I stated email was my best form of contract as I am tattooing and with customers. I also wanted a written record of everything after realising how unreliable they were, it’s better to have written evidence.

Third party collection company NEVER came on time. Cheaperwaste added new fees every year up to £100 that wasn’t stated at time of signing contract.

Been with a local collection company for two months now and the service is night and day. I have 0 hassle and no chasing deliveries. All costa upfront, and still cheap.

Cheaperwaste may appear cheaper on face value but trust me, after added fees annually they are not. And the hassle of getting what you paid for to follow through is not worth the £10 you save.

You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

I would give a 0 star review if there was an option. Do not use this company, as soon as we signed up there was no get out. We never signed no contract but are not letting us leave without paying nearly 50% of the 2 years contract that they sign you up for without knowing. They have just renewed us for another 2 years without an reminder telling us about it was automatic renewal. Knowing full well we have wanted to leave from early on in the previous contract. They put us on a weight restriction contract that we had no idea about so our bill varies so much each month, there is also a fee of £175 a year. All of this adds up to a huge amount of money so even if the monthly payments don’t seem to bad to start with this will not be your true monthly bill. The staff dealing with complaints are lovely but obviously there isn’t much they can do as this company rules. So be prepared that if you use this company you will probably still be being charged the monthly fee even if your in your grave as there seems to be no get our Claus. Even if my business closes I am still to pay until the contract ends but the contract never ends because there is no reminders or up coming renewal.

Save yourself the hours of your time and avoid this company at all costs!!!

Bunch of absolute crook’s ….there whole business is based around getting you to agree to a contact over the phone with great rates (which if your a registered business in the U.K. is legally binding) then send you a contract with higher fees (all the time telling you to just sign and they’ll sort it later) then if you don’t sign they’ll take you to court for breach of contract.
I was foolish and agreed over the phone…this cost me over £2,500 for a “cheaper waste” contract…. And I never even had a single bin dropped off or delivered from them.
If it sounds too good to be true, if it’s a north east England guy/girl on the other end of the phone, and if it’s got “cheaper” on the end of their businesses name, swerve at ALL COST? (thank me later)
