First time for many years that I have visited a scrap dealer but had some surplus material from renovations so rang first, they were very friendly and advised to bring ID and bank details because not allowed to pay cash given new regulations.

On arrival met by a young man who took scrap off us weighed it and took us to office, where the very friendly lady proprietor worked out value and paid it straight in to our bank. We chatted about the history of firm and it was started in 1865 and is in the hands of same family!

Would recommend Bloy & Son to anyone, professional and fast service. Excellent.

A local family run company that has spanned five generations whilst always being situated on King Edward St for 150 years.

In the the late 1950's they concentrated on non-ferrous metals and continue to do so
