I have been going to Abbey Dale medical Centre for over 24 years now. I have just heard that it's Dr Kevin Ross is last day tomorrow which I am gutted, I Shaw Dr Ross before Christmas I was so happy with him it's the first time I have felt relaxed with a Dr he takes time to listen to you and he cares about the people who go to see him. We need him there full time as I will have to be depressed to go and see another Dr who just get you in and out and don't even listen to like Dr Ross dose why can't you just keep him at the surgery so at least we will have one good Dr to go and see.

Very poor ,rang them saying I was out of breath with asthma and needed a prescription for my inhalers as I'd left mine at school where I work, and it was school holidays.I was told I would have to apply on line ,to which I said I had tried but it wasn't working on my phone. I was given another email to use which took half hour to come through on my phone. I told them I really need them. I was told well all I can do is put a priority on it .I waited all day for them to say my prescription was ready to collect and even rang the pharmacy to see if anything had come through but they said nothing has.I went without my inhalers all day and night ,I was told by a friend later that day you could apply or ring 111 but I didn't know my NHS number and if this was classed as an emergency because I could breathe but it was very breathless and wheezy? Night time was worse but it was too late by then so just struggled through ,my inhalers would have given me instant relief. At 8.12 the next morning I get a text saying your inhalers are ready to collect .Some priority ey !?
I pre pay for my prescriptions too.

Horrific. There's one Dr who actually cares. The Pharmacist is beyond awful. Deemed it appropriate to speak to me on speakerphone whilst laughing at me with a colleague...which I have recorded. Stopped medication from an arranged plan with the GP...belittled me and told me ant pain I have is in my head. After stopping my medication I then called and was told I would receive a call from the practice manager....in a week. So left with no medication at all. Part of my condition is Complex PTSD and severe anxiety. Which the Pharmacist found hilarious.
Now seeking legal advice. AVOID THIS DOCTORS SURGERY.

Terrible service. Both my parents are aging and need to be able to access their doctor. They were constantly being told they could only have a telephone appointment even though my Dad had been admitted to hospital a couple of times. Their medication hadn't been reviewed for a long time and were just given the same high doses everytime. They were spoken to like they were an inconvenience. This has led to them moving surgeries recently and this has proved very positive as there has been more issues dealt with in a few weeks than in a few years at this surgery. If you feel you're not being looked after by people who are suppose to be looking after you, change surgery.

On the phone and in person the receptionists are all so lovely, particularly Andrew, he is so helpful and understanding, nothing is too much trouble, always friendly, professional and polite. The surgery is always clean. The nurses are nice, kind and patient, the Doctors are good, particularly Dr Voma is kind, sympathetic, understanding, polite, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, explained everything clearly to me in a way I understood and I didn’t feel rushed at all. I’ve never had any problems with my prescriptions and Lanre, the pharmacist, always asks if I’m happy to continue with my medications or when starting new ones, I appreciate being involved in my care. Also during covid when appointments were few and far between, they arranged an appointment for me at Whitegate Drive, excellent, saved me waiting there for hours. I couldn’t fault the surgery or any of the staff.
