Bossy, rude new staff there the last couple of times I've been. Won’t go there again, I will drive further out to use a nicer, friendlier centre. Hate the booking system also (which seems to require relatively a lot of detail (?)), always feel rushed to drop off my stuff and constantly spied on. No thanks.

UPDATE :- I contacted the Alton site by accident and spoke with a very helpful and obliging lady called Clare, she was friendly and extremely helpful, gave me the correct telephone number to call to make a booking, which I duly did. It is essential to book a time slot, but this is easy to do, online, or over the telephone or online. I would normally go online but couldn't on this occasion. The people working on site are also helpful and it is kept very clean and organised. They are doing a great job.

Turned up at tip to find out we had to book! No queues, no one dumping rubbish - completely deserted apart from one man at gate telling us we had to book. Absolutely ridiculous! It is fully booked for foreseeable future - really poor. NB wouldn't allow for no stars, so even feel cheated into given one!

A reasonable waiting time as it was a weekend visit! Very helpful staff and everything was sorted for me including what to do with the two toilets that I had on board. Well done. Alton.

Used the centre for the first time yesterday twice. Well organised and tidy. Staff were very helpful and Adam especially so. Adam helped me unload the second time. It was a large trailer full of old carpets and other bits and pieces. As per other Hampshire sites there is a charge for certain waste. While some people object others see this as fair.

Easy to book online and no need to arrive at exactly time specified. Easy to park up and dispose of stuff. Staff are now allowed to assist with unloading again.
