Matt was an exceptional customer service representative (1000/6 stars). He provided the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. He didn’t complain or exude negative energy; instead, he put his heart and soul into helping us go the extra mile.

My partner lost his wallet and house keys in his coat. We arrived at the tip at 3:30 pm, but there was no space in the clothing box. Despite knowing we weren’t supposed to, we put the clothes in-front box (it was the first time we didn’t noticed the extra boxes).

At 6:30 pm, my boyfriend checked his pockets and realised he had thrown away his wallet. He was upset and frustrated, especially since the wallet held sentimental value and £500 in cash, as well as his ID and passport.

When we came to the tip at 7:30 pm, my boyfriend was stressed. He spoke to everyone, but Matt was the only one who offered to help him and gave him a hug when he explained the situation. Matt helped remove the burnables from the tip and placed them neatly on the side, allowing my boyfriend to look through the bags. Unfortunately, there was no luck. However, Matt didn’t give up hope and helped my boyfriend maintain his optimism.

They then tried looking at the clothing box. The first box yielded no results. Matt remained positive with my boyfriend and checked the other box. To his delight, he found one of his bags, giving him hope as the other bag moved further down. Despite losing hope at this point, my boyfriend was grateful to have spent time with someone like Matt.

Finally, he found his coat with his wallet. Seeing my boyfriend’s eyes light up after enduring the worst 12 hours, we couldn’t express our gratitude enough. Not many people would go the extra mile, but Matt not only did that but also left a lasting impression on how we should move forward in life.

Thank you, Matt, and may God bless you.

Visited the recycling centre on Wednesday and what a friendly and knowledgeable bunch of staff run and look after this site. Everything is neat,
clean and tidy and well organised. Super friendly and helpful staff, helping to direct me to the correct bays and also to unload. In and out in no time at all thanks to the help and assistance given. Staff are a credit to the site 👏

I cannot recommend the team at this recycling centre enough, an excellent group of individuals who are more than willing to help where required and who know a tremendous amount about the products that go into their bins, they are always helpful and cheerful no matter what the weather.
