Terrible experience at Droylsden tip. Member of staff was rude obnoxious, and totally unprofessional.
I was getting cardboard out of my car and a male member of staff came running over and said have you got polystyrene in there. I told him I have taken all polystyrene out and it is just cardboard. He walked off. I then went to put general waste in the general waste section and he came running over again and said have you got clothes in that bag. He took the bag off me and ripped it open. It was a cover of a dog bed which he then put in the general waste where I was originally going to put it in. I dropped my two bags in the general waste, when he then come out with “ have you put all them plastic bottles in there? It wasn’t even my bag. I told him that is not my bag. He then said have you not just dropped that in there, in which I replied no. I was fuming and still am at the treatment I have received.

To the staff members on duty today 03/01 at midday, thanks very much! I had car trouble & the fellas obliged in helping out with a jump start. Muchas appreciato! These guys are gold standard & represent the best recycling centre in all of God’s green earth. Godspeed & fair winds!

The worst recycling center in Manchester. The staff cold and rude, the feeling like i am the BOSS. In other center, the staff quite helpful.

World's gone mad. Inspecting bags of rubbish for a stray can 😂 I was told today on entry one of their "officers" would inspect my bags. Officers eh 😂😂😂 it's like the gastapo.

Used to be alright. Now staff are rude and militant. I went there to recycle not to be spoken to like excrement.

Can’t even get through the gate without someone with a huge attitude wanting to look what’s in my car.

While recycling my things I had someone practically jumping down my throat telling me where everything goes. I can understand the system and the signs. Not everyone needs to be micromanaged to get things right.

Appalling behaviour and attitude from the staff. A disgrace of company. Should be brought back under the local authority.

Had the worst experience today with a staff member who I have been told is a manager. Reported and made a serious complaint as this can not happen again. Extremely rude to me and my daughter, called a liar and my bag ripped open in my daughter’s hand because he didn’t believe there was no glass. It was a coffee machine being taken to the electrical section.
Didn’t speak to any men in that way. He picked the wrong women.
I was also told on the way I was being fined and he has my reg number. Disgusting intimidating behaviour that needs immediate action.

Had a very poor experience at this site ! I was stopped at the barrier by one colleague who asked what was in my bags which he could see through my back windows , I replied general waste . To which I was told I had to open and separate it all ! I had a box with card and paper . I told him all recycling had been sorted into relevant bins at home . I proceeded to the bay for black bags in which said collegue followed me over and continued to confront and intimidate me and my daughter (who was sat in the car ) I was then told he has my reg and to await my fine in the post ! Nothing was said to the gentleman that threw a box over with rubbish in it . This was a massive shame as all over colleagues were very friendly and helpful .

1 member of staff grabbed hol of my 11year old son by the wrist and shouted in his face. Apparently he was the yard manager. Lucky I am quite chilled out
