Hidden away but a real old school gem of "pile it high and sell it cheap".
Ok, they didn't quite have what I wanted, but the checkout lady was very helpful and we almost managed a compromise. No Christmas overload either! Happy to recommend for essentials plus. Cheap decent batteries too!

This is normally one of the discount stores I would consider when needing to buy cleaning supplies etc. This trip was different as every window was adorned with huge posters promising 50% off anything storewide as long as you spent £5 or more. Excited much! However when picking up items like a kid in a sweetshop I noticed that nearly all items In my basket were nearly double their normal price tag so I was saving diddly.....tut tut, they nearly fooled me. Having handed my money over to a member of staff who had the personality and charisma of a teabag, I marked the end of the trip 😤😳 (well stocked and clean though!)

Pile it high and sell it cheap, does what it says. I do like the section of out of date (best before) items as well. Heavy discounts on already good prices, so I'm no it complaining. Friendly checkout staff too.

Very, very quiet. Only one cashier. However, she was very friendly and helpful. It seems that it is a division of Poundstretcher, because my receipt had that name on the top.
