I recently used Bassett and Sluggett for some engine work. My car was due a timing belt change and their quote was a third of the price of a main dealer. Many had declined to do it. I was a tad anxious as I had not used B&S before. Then one of my injectors failed so I had no choice to go to a garage. In the end I had the timing belt and four injectors done. They did it in the day and although the injectors are expensive, the price was pretty darn good. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. Shout out to Paul who did the work.

Excellent service and very responsible price. Couldn’t get my car booked in for a couple of weeks but I think that stands as a testament to how good and popular they are. When they did look at it they rang me an hour later to say that they had diagnosed and fixed the issue and my car was ready to be picked up

Amazing garage. Typical family business, very friendly, very professional and very fair. Seem to go that little bit further to make sure the customer is happy. I had a clutch replacement on a motor home so not a small job.
I would highly recommend this garage and will not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Awful was charged for a diagnostic test. Even though just had a free one by AA!!! Same dam result. Couldn't be bothered to fix anything just left my car outside on road for 4 days in the snow.

I had an issue with my car for a while and it got worse gradually, I assumed it was an injector or something because it would cough, splutter and die, I broke down due to this in the end and what I thought would be a massive job, they found was the o2 sensors, two of them! They were changed and the car was running amazingly, after 6 months of worrying, I should have taken it in earlier, extremely happy with the service, would highly recommend 🙂
