Parked outside my house with a permit, cones were not placed where I parked the night before after returning from a long 15 hour working day and drive. In the morning they slapped a ticket on my van and said I was lucky I didn’t get towed. Absolute tosh. Jumped up parking attendants. When challenged it, it was denied for no good reason. There is extremely limited parking in zone 5 in Bath and I can guarantee if I parked outside of my permitted zone due to my zone being full they would slap a ticket on my vehicle. Can’t win when the parking people are out to make comms and line the theirs and the councils pockets.

Paid for parking and then was given a penalty charge even though I paid for it online to cover the time difference. Cost me over £70 to park in total so has put me off from visiting Bath again. Another greedy council punishing motorists. Obscene.

As everyone else in this comment section , I understand their pain in many cases, I agree with the rule of law and fines, but when the council abuse it and make it a cash cow it needs to be solved, I parked in Bath and I had already a permit to park as I paid for it , after I received the ticket and challenged it they have denied my evidence based on the fact they want the money as why not, I m not even sure if they looked at the evidence or they just deny it as the money needs to keep coming, Bath should be an amazing place after all this fines are being collected and its degrading under the eyes of this greedy council without a vision. Its a shame.

One of their drivers (maybe 20s age male with dark short hair it looked like) was holding his phone in hand while driving though the busy city centre, and vaping in the council car. Clearly distracted as he didn’t pull away for ages at the lights. This was at 11am on 27/8/24, he was driving a white Nissan leaf. hopefully he can be held accountable.

They make it as difficult as possible for tourists driving to bath to spot the clean air zone, and then fine you for any infraction - no chance to just pay the clean air zone fee- they just wait until you have missed the deadline to pay and then send the letter to fine you.

After today announcing that car parks will charge based on emmisions you have have now lost a loyal customer of 20+ years who did everything in bath city center and visited 3 times a week. Putting hundreds a month into the local economy. I will now never set foot in the place ever again and will definatly not be spending a penny there ever again.

Seriously ridiculous fining people for access during allowed time, response to challenge was weak, they do this as you don't bother proceeding further with challenge.
Actually disgusting and obvious it's just jobsworth situation.......
Not really sure if its worth visiting Bath, if you do drive into Bath, use Park n ride or off street parking, if you do come into Bath with a car you run the risk of driving into restricted areas smothered with cameras.
The Roman baths are great and its about all to really see in the city, Abby is good and worth a consideration.
Also important to note you may recieve a late response to your challenge like I did, nearly 2 months later from pcn issue, 2 days short.
