I cannot speak too highly of the service provided by Bideford Medical Centre. My wife and I, being well into our eighties, have had to get in touch with them many times in recent years. For urgent matters, such as a sudden urinary tract infection, you can get help, even if your own GP is not on surgery duty that day. I have, more than once, had medication dispensed by the pharmacy next door the same morning that I had sent in a request. We have had nothing but kindness and understanding from all the staff we have come into contact with, and our doctor behaves as if he has all the time in the world for us, although we know he is worked off his feet (sometimes rings back as late as 6 p.m.)

I’ve never had a negative experience with the medical centre. Whenever i can’t get through to the pharmacy (which is very often) i end up checking with the receptionist if it’s been sent over and they are always very helpful

I had blood tests done 1st time, half of them useless as didnt make it to the lab. So called me back a 2nd time….heard nothing. Chased them up. “Please come back to the surgery as your bloods didn’t make it to the lab” again!!!

Obstinate reception staff. This practice is really being let down by its front of desk staff acting like they have any kind of medical knowledge and deciding on whether they can triage you. Of course they have no medical qualifications whatsoever & like to power trip on people’s care needs.

Always courteous and caring.
GP. Is such a great support and understands what I'm faced with.
I'm certain this has helped me in many ways over the years.

Doctors only work 2 days a week and if you use their stupid app to get an appointment on any of the other 5 days of the week they tell you to go away until your doctor is back.

Repeat prescription removed from automatic renewal without any notification to myself leaving me with short supple. Excuse after excuse saying I needed an annual review but failed to inform/invite me to such review on a drug that can’t suddenly be stopped. Appalling lack to care to patient & no apology.
Could do with a lesson in customer care!

I've been coming to this practise for about 8 years now and it's rapidly getting worse and worse. Reception staff seem genuinely to be actively unhelpful and when they deny you access to health care for some slight beaurocratic issue they don't try and sign post you to anyone who might be able to help.
