Purchased mattress. Unbagged it to notice Mildew on one side (all over) call Mike store manager who tried blaming my courier! My courier had item less then 10 hours mildew takes weeks to grow. Furthermore it was only on top side - this is the side which was steam cleaned by BHF as previously mentioned by a store colleague!

Long story short- they steam cleaned the top side 1-2 weeks before I had it collected, it wasn’t fully dried thus Mildew started to grow not to mention the stench of cigarette smoke!

Mike had the cheek to blame courier. Total joke. Case closed. Mildew takes days and weeks to grow!!!

Very inconsiderate, and very disrespectful to myself, they told me they were coming to my house to pick a sofa up in between 12 o’clock and 5 o’clock, I had a funeral to attend earlier in the daytime, so I could not attend the wake, because I have to be back by 12 o’clock, however, I’ve sat in all afternoon waiting for them to turn up. No one has turned up and also inconsiderately. They have not rang me to say that they would not be able to pick the sofa up. This is damn right rude,very unprofessional and inconsiderate to a customer who was happy to donate 😡😡

Well, I am going to add to my review as I have spoken to a lady this morning, and after asking her, why did nobody turned up for the collection of my sofa, also this lady was extremely pleasant and helpful in every way, however, she contacted the gentleman who were going to collect the sofa and they told her they knocked on my door which is a complete lie 🤬🤬as they cannot knock on my front door. They have to press an intercom buzzer and this is very loud. There is no way they pressed the intercom buzzer as they told the lady they knocked on the front door, so as I said they are complete lawyers and they have wasted my time as I stayed at home from 12 o’clock right through till bedtime, they said they were going to call me when they were 10 minutes away. However they didn’t, these people are complete lair’s and not to be trusted, I did not even get a phone call this morning with an apology, explaining why they didn’t turn up, this is no way to treat a customer who was willing to donate a new unwonted sofa, I think this is extremely unprofessional and rude and inconsiderate. I hope in the future I do not treat other customers who are willing to donate items to the foundation.

we had new sofa arriving on 18th of December so as our old sofa was only 12mths old my wife called bhf to collect as we previously donated to them as a good cause they arranged collection on 20th December my wife explained we would both be at work so we arranged to leave outside for collection I got some heavy duty plastics wrapping and wrapped all the way under the sofa completely covering then gaffer taped over and round and sideways round to keep dry we attached not saying collection for bhf and went to work imagine my disbelief when I arrived home to see sofa still there with plastic ripped one on top of sofe we opened the front door to a note saying couldn't take due to sofa wet my next dood neighbours came round to say they saw van pull up rip open plastic then just drive off which is recorded on their ring doorbell I find this disgusting as sofa cost over 1700 ponds new and was less then 12mths old so surely somebody would have been greatful of this and the charity come of made some money now all it's good for is the tip so I won't be donating to this charity again v poor service

This is a wonderful shop, run by wonderful people, for a wonderful cause. If you are looking for anything please go here first. It's a massive shop over two floors and they cover most everything for the home. Living dining kitchen bedroom bathroom. Gifts electronics. It's ace. Clothes books dvds jewellery the list goes on

We have bought some excellent bedroom furniture, from the store, over the last few years. Although, it's marked as being second hand, some of it has actually been unused, or is hardly worn at all. The range of items is very good, so we've always managed to match the furniture we already have. They also deliver and collect unwanted items for donation, which is much better for everyone & the environment, than throwing things away. As it's a charity shop, any profits hopefully to go a good cause. Their services are highly recommended, by all our family and friends.

Wanted to donate a good condition sofa bed that had barely been used as well as 2 other bags of charity donations. Was told the day before I was 3rd on the list and they'd arrive between 8-9. At 11.30 they finally arrived. They started checking the sofa over (obviously have to check it's quality, I understand it needs to be good enough to resell) however its obvious they don't want to take it. Without even a hello it seemed the driver was looking for a reason not to take it. They start fretting about the cushions, about whether or not its just a shadow or dirt (its a shadow) and then claimed it had a wobbly frame would fall apart. They weren't even here 2 minutes before they left again. Wasted 4 hours of my holiday waiting for this inept service. I won't be offering donations to BHF again.
