Since the introduction of the booking slots there has been a massive reduction in queues. I've driven straight in and to a bay without any queuing and have always been able to book a slot on the day which is great and seem to be some new staff who are really helpful. One of my main issues with this site was that the bays further up were always free but cars seemed to wait for lower down bays causing a big queue.

Only issue with the new system is limited to 5 trips a month. We are currently clearing my father's house after his death and could do with more visits to get it done quicker.

I use this recycling centre two or three times a month as we seek to empty our garage and loft of (mostly) five grown-up children's detritus. I love the new booking system. The place is staffed by knowledgeable and helpful people who will always give help and advice.

i was really disappointed. we turned up 20 minutes before our booking time because we were in the area already with our stuff and didnt really think anything of it. the worker at the gate was really sarcastic when letting us through. we asked when our booking was and we replied with 2pm and he sarcastically replies “and whats the time now”, we said 1:40 and hes like “you arent allowed here before your booking time etc” which fair enough i get it but we took 3 minutes, 3 literal minutes, its not inconveniencing anyone you are just choosing to be rude. we apologised but he was still very upset with us. it was super quite in the center as well

Very smooth operation and THE. BEST. STAFF. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to give advice or lend a helping hand with unloading. It’s honestly (and weirdly) a pleasure to make a trip there! Thank you!

I've never had a problem at Burgess Hill Recycling Centre. The chap at the front is great!
I went up the top earlier this week to throw general household rubbish in the skip and this really young lad that works there took a bag out of my hands. I thought that's great service, only to find he'd ripped the bag open and was going through my rubbish and taking stuff out of the bag. One of the other older men, said "oh you've got some good stuff there mate" to his colleague. I felt totally embarrassed and annoyed at the same time.
I now don't want to go back, but have to as I'm moving house and lots to get rid of. ?

Booking system has reduced the queues but if you happen to get there when bin lorry’s are emptying good luck

The team that work here are always so helpful. They always go out of their way to help me lift heavy items into the skips and they always seem to be in a good mood. Well done guys

I had to take a sofa to the tip today and had to do it in three trips. Booked up the slots very easily and had a man called Dan help me. He could not have been more help if he tried. He’s a credit to your team and an absolute gentleman. Thanks Dan from Dan
