The guys at Burslem are by far some of the most helpful! Being disabled, I have always been offered help with my rubbish, always found the guys friendly and happy to have a bit of banter. I’ve seen customers on their speak down to the staff and get it in return and rightly so! The customer is not always right and no one deserves to be spoken to like something off the bottom of their shoe! I’ve seen these guys work in horrendous weather and for one lady who dropped her phone in a packed skip, they searched for her until they found it without expecting anything in return. If people checked on the website, yes the timings do say it closes at 4.30, however, it does also state you must arrive more than 15 minutes before the closing time or they will refuse entry. This is the same at all sites as they do need to clean down any mess left around and ensure the containers are shifted etc. it’s no different with supermarkets, they announce just the same at 4.15pm that the supermarkets are closing at 4.30pm so finish your shopping and head to the tills to pay. People act too entitled and think these people having nothing to do but serve them, or close until they are ready! Keep up the good work lads! Some of us appreciate what you do 😁

Today closing times are at 3pm When all Tunstall does not have its rubbish taken for three weeks in a row due to Christmas and New Year? People are working in weekends, so why close at 3? Went there for nothing to be told the hours shown online do not match their actual closing time. Nice.

Pulled up at 4.12pm on a Saturday and the gates are already closed!! There should be correct opening times online and on the gate as both say it’s open until 4.30pm. I’ve never known anywhere else close more than 15 minutes before the advertised time to do who knows what. Bizarre.

Try putting correct times on the gate!!! Rushed around trying g to get there in enough time before it was due to close 15:45 at the gate as it was being locked and told they are closed, pretty sure the sign says closes at 4on a Sunday! 😡😡😡 So annoying! Could understand if they were rushed of their feet but they just stand around talking all day jokers, some of us have to work all week and Saturdays so don't get that much time to get things done and have to rush when we do get time...... Should dock their pay, why the hell do we pay council tax?

Good place to unload if you know where ur items go. Some staff helpful if u ask, others avoid eye contact at all costs. Be aware tho, not open till 16.30. At 16.15 staff stand on the gate and refuse entry. Staff state they cleaning up. So times are inaccurate.

It was busy today (Sunday 12th May) they had someone controlling traffic trying to get onto the site who was checking what people had to advise them which was the best place to park for their needs. As we have blue badges and mine was on the dashboard he asked if we needed assistance to clear the waste from my car but my husband decided he would do it anyway. He wished he'd taken the offer up but knows for next time.
