1st visit was ok decent couple of blokes on duty.
2nd visit was not so good nobody helped my disabled wife climb up the steps to put rubbish in. However I did see one of them go to extraordinary lengths to retrieve a black plastic sack from one of the skips.

This is the best tip I have EVER been to. The young lad that helped was so polite and friendly. Even on a good Friday. Every time I visit the staff are brilliant and talk as well as advise. I live in darlington and would travel to use this rather than the one near mine. 🙂 hats off to you guys. And thank you. 🙂

I echo someone else's comment about them being unhelpful currently. They used to be really helpful a couple of years ago.

There's currently quite often 4 of them and they only do 2 things:
1) Stand around talking and joking.
2) Pace up and down being jobsworths looking in everyone's boot to make sure there aren't any "business" items mixed in. Totally useless bunch.

Every single time I’ve visited this tip over the last 10 or so years the staff there have always been so friendly & helpful. Not once have I come across anyone who hasn’t been genuine & happy. Well done to all the staff there.... nothing is too much trouble & nothing seems to be a chore. Excellent service.

Terrible attitude of staff, refused to help lift an awkward item up the wet slippery iron steps in to the wood skip. A lady who was also using the site helped me with it whilst the men stood chatting!! When I complained they immediately and said they were filming and were very unfriendly.

Its a very busy place. The staff are fantastic ,helpful and committed. They help you without having to be even asked. They work hard and never seem unhappy. Well done lasses and lads!!
Prepare to have to wait a few minutes, just queue up and wait your turn!
