Time slots work well , easy to book and easier when arriving as now quieter and quicker. Visited twice this week and both times lovely men that work there helped me with my old sofa, they are always so friendly and help immediately even without asking, the place is also kept very clean and very efficient, all laid out very well too. It’s an absolute credit to the lovely staff that work there, thank you x

The staff at Chichester are absolute angels ... always so friendly and helpful. This morning I took a small van-load of stuff after starting to clear out my shed. I hardly had to do anything! They all just pitched in to help, and one even went to get a trolley to move things to the right places. They couldn't have been nicer, so thank you all very much!! ?

Had a bad experience today 19/9/24 took some old paint, oil and other fluids. Arrived at the site for the disposal of these bits and it said ask for assistance. Went to the office and a chap came out. Took the toolbox we had transported some bits in and said he would sort it. Mum (72) said please can we have the toolbox back as it was just to transport the bottles in the car. He aggressively threw out the bottles and threw the toolbox down breaking it. He was aggressive and intimidating. We were glad to get out of there. Very unpleasant.

You need to book a slot but this is easy on line. The staff are helpful. It is a good dump.

I went to the Chichester tip on Monday and hadn’t realised that you had to book a time slot here now. So was told to park up on the road outside and book online on my phone.
I parked up as instructed then realised I’d left my phone at home in Yapton! Oh dear! So I drove back to the man in the kiosk and explained that I didn’t have my phone with me (this in itself was really upsetting as had life in it like everyone else) and incidentally there was no queue and I wasn’t holding anybody up.. the kiosk man told me…that I couldn’t recycle my car boot load of stuff as ”There is a Zero Tolerancy Policy”
….against not booking a time slot!
Why couldn’t he have looked at the situation with kindness and been nice and said ? We’re not busy, remember to book next time and let me tip my stuff? But NO!
I felt it was a bit strong to have a “Zero Tolerance Policy” towards someone wanting to do a civic duty and recycle. The world has gone mad!

Don't see the point of them having a phone number, they never answer. You get there and they'll find a reason not to let you use the facilities, still, it's only £220 a month council tax.

This place is great. You sign up to get a permit then fill up your truck with all the stuff you never use and unload it into the right places and it gets reused.

Brilliant, and the men who work there are really helpful.
