Normally go to waldo road dump, but as it is going to be shut for nearly a year ,drove to churchfield road site. Only to find out I had to pre book a slot. No where on that Web site on the initial screen does it say that. After being turned away and wasting a hour of my time and fuel to get there . I then looked at the site again and only once I had logged in to that dumps pages did it say book a slot.no wonder there's so much fly tipping going on . Even I felt like popping round to mr Colin smiths home and off loading it. Is there no common science left ? Apart from that got caught up I 3 sets of temporary lights on the way there with cones and no one working on any . Just adding to the experience. But it's OK Bromley council painted the give way lines on my road ,but never tarmac the cracks or the craters in the next road. Time to vote them out .

Drove to Waldo. Told closed abd to drive to Churchfields. Arrived, told no access since I don't have an appointment despite the fact it would clearly be possible for me to use the site (it visibly wasn't at all busy...since no-one could use it without an appointment and only appointments from tomorrow). Stupid. After 90 mins of driving I'm back home with my car which I now need to unload again. No access without appointment when it is very quiet is stupid.

Review of Churchfields Road Reuse Recycling Centre Beckenham

Date of Visit: Friday, 26 July 2024

I recently had an experience at the Beckenham Reuse Recycling Centre that turned out to be far more eventful than I expected. While I was there, I accidentally locked myself out of my car with all my belongings, including my car keys, inside. This could have been a highly stressful situation, but thanks to the exceptional staff at the centre, it was resolved smoothly.

The site manager, Imran Khan, was incredibly professional and caring. He immediately took all necessary measures to assist me, ensuring my safety and comfort while the issue was being addressed. His prompt and considerate actions made a potentially disastrous situation manageable.

Additionally, the workers at this site are outstanding. They are not only efficient in their primary duties but also go above and beyond to help visitors. Their helpful and friendly demeanor made a significant difference and left a lasting positive impression on me.

Overall, my experience at the Beckenham Churchfields Road Reuse Recycling Centre was exemplary, thanks to the dedicated and compassionate staff. I highly recommend this facility, not only for its recycling services but also for the exceptional customer care provided by its team.

We’re not from Bromley but had no trouble paying three quid to get access (one visit). If you need to do the same, don’t drive down the lane towards the tip. Take the next entrance down from the main road, with a double barrier gate. Ignore the authorised vehicles only signs - the gates will open. Park up and walk to the furthest little cabin on the left, cough up your £3 by card payment, drive out and back round to the main tip entrance down the lane and bid your waste goodbye. Staff friendly and polite. Recommended

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Churchfields Road Recycling Centre. I used it for the first time on 14/06/24 having just moved to the area. I realised when I got back to the car I had dropped my phone, the staff helped me to call it, check my car and check the areas I had dropped off waste. We couldn’t find it so I went home to access Find My iPhone on my laptop, I was able to locate which section of the tip the phone was in, drove back and showed the staff who kindly went through the rubbish and they found it for me! 📱They could see I was really stressed and were very understanding and helpful, there are some good people in the world! (And don’t worry I have since cleaned my phone lol 😅) thanks again 😘

For trade waste they are conning people. Charging extra when you come out to pay them they charge for your weight as well . I have to throw a bag of grass about 100 kilos they charged me £40 and charged my weight as well . I was quite shocked when I asked the pay point man about the weight of my vehicle. He is not able to tell me the weight of the vehicle on their weight bridge. Also they are not showing the weight of the vehicle outside display for in and out weight of the vehicle. I think the council needs to take action on what is happening there. I have all the evidence and video which I will put on the media about how they are conning people with money. They are dishonest and misleading and very bad for the community.
