Went in hoping they could help with an issue, they couldn't due to potential risk of damage to the rest of the item, but did tell me how I can do it myself if I wanted to.... all whilst I disturbed his lunch (forgot his name!), worked a charm, so thank you!!!!

I took in a couple of bar stools to re-weld the bases. On collection I mentioned that what they had done (5 or 6 small spot welds one of which had already broken) might not be strong enough.
Surely enough that weekend one of the bases broke again.
I went back and asked them to beef up the weld a bit. Begrudgingly they accepted.
On collection they had massively increased the weld size but unfortunately the base is wonky so the stool can't really be used.
