I didn't agree with the changes to the way you could access the centre. However, the couple of times we've used it so far is so much easier. You can get in and out in no time and the staff are so friendly and helpful too.

There are never any spaces available for over 2 weeks this is out of order we have to drive half an hour away to go to a different recycling centre how is this feasible for local people of Colchester.

Website for booking doesn’t work, the stuff just said it’s not our problem, all booking that we have viewed previously is fully booked in 2 weeks in advance. Result; if the person have a household waste he have to hold it for 2 weeks at this pocket to go here and recycle his waste, terrible system, terrible booking webpage and terrible idea!!! Either make a 2nd one center like that either make it for PEOPLE AND NOT FOR YOURSEFLS ONLY!

This is going to be a rubbish review because that's the name of the game. Rubbish, it's very good for household rubbish, non commercial use for Joe Public. Friendly staff!

I wasn't keen when they introduced booking but after 6 months it defo makes sense. Very rarely a queue and mostly seems quiet. I suspect a lot of no-shows. Cancelling appointments should be encouraged more and made easier. Quick, friendly and efficient.

There is now a booking system which is supposed to 'smooth out' the queues and make it easier. My experience is that it is impossible to book a slot closer than a week in advance, sometimes longer. Since the council decided they were no longer going to collect garden waste I have to drive it there myself and without a booking it clutters up my garage and shed for days on end, followed by a car journey across town. Who dreams up these stupid ideas?

Cannot recommend colchester recycling centre enough - Terry and Vince were unbelievably helpful! We've never had a problem here, always been so easy to access eith appointments and such and never too busy. Just makes a rough job so much easier. 10/10
