I have my appointment today March 24, 2025. Coming the GP means, i was not my finest. At the reception, there was a sign that said, “Ring the bill to get the reception attention” I did rang the bill and the receptionist march and said, “Don’t Ring that bill!” in a very unpleasant tone of voice! Please GP receptionist at least be compassionate and if you don’t want a patient to ring the bill that obviously makes you annoyed be at the reception desk.

Me, my husband and son have been at this surgery for not even a year and every single time we have required assistance, there has been some sort of issue wether than be wrongly diagnosed, unable to diagnose, major attitude from the receptionist or struggling to get an appointment in general. Today, yet another issue with Wendy in reception who has seems to have major attitude time and time again - Not sure how or why she is in this position if she can’t so much as speak to patients with respect or assist when required.

I am really upset at being thought of as a second class citizen by the receptionists at this practice. I feel that because I have some mental health issues I am regarded as stupid by some of the staff. I’m always respectful to staff at the practice, but unfortunately this attitude is not reciprocated.

Extremely difficult to get an appointment. Call at 8:30am you will be 56th in a queue waiting for an appointment then told none left.
Terrible admin team they have consistently lost every document I've given them, as well as very derogatory attitude and in addition blaitant liars. I was told I was to phone hospitals and arrange my own referals after a GP referred my condition onwards, lucky I work in healthcare and had the knowledge to know they were lying to me.

In my experience the GP's at this practise seem like they are reading from one text book, no critical thinking skills or keeping up to date with new research. I have found them patronising, after to seek medical help for my son since he was born, they brand me as an anxious new mum. On one hand you are given a bunch of leaflets as a new mum raising awareness of illness in children encouraging early diagnosis as can save lives, then when you go to speak to a Dr you are told "oh that's really rare and unlikely" before they have even assessed. It is rare to find a GP these days that keeps their medical research & knowledge up to date.

Have used this practice for 12 years, in recent years it has gone down hill, due to difficulties getting appointed,
Several doctors not taking notes of health issues making stories up about patient that is so untrue.
There was a serious problem with receptionist for a while, seems to be rectified and much improved.
I only trust one doctor, no faith in the rest, not only my opinion, spoke with several patients who are not happy with this practice.
Another practice is needed between Rosewell,Bonnyrigg due to the demands, more & more people moving into the are.
I fully understand that doctors are under a huge amount of stress due to demands from amount of patients they have to see.
This should not fall back in patients receiving bad attitude from some doctors.
All patients should be treated with dignity and respect.
