Well organised recycling centre taking all the main categories of household waste with easy loop driveway access and signage for each section. The staff are helpful and on hand. No charge for any of our recycling. We have been clearing household clutter and can thoroughly recommend this centre close to greater Norwich.

I fully support the commitment to the staff here guarding the only non-recylable bin and directing people to the correct recycling bin. They throw very little away. A spacious tip which is well laid out and with the opportunity to recycle almost anything. Have never queued here either.

Don't know what people are talking about with the staff being rude or "jobs worth's" I had a lovely chat with one of the guys today (think his name was John), he was helpful and friendly.

Maybe if the complainers tried people treating people with respect and didn't try to pull one over by getting rid of stuff that they aren't supposed to they'd have a more pleasant experience.

Good site with easy access. Only criticism is that the staff are bone idle. I'm 70 and my husband is 78. We struggled with a car load of garden waste and they just stood there looking at their mobile phones.

Tall guy in his late 50’s on 12th April repeating “Mate, Mate, MATE, MATE!” Until I realised he was referring to me.

Not a single “excuse me” Extremely rude employee. Should be referring to customers as “Sir or Madam” not “Mate”.

Is it in the job description that all recycling centre employee's must be rude to the public?
Today on a visit, my 70 year old mum went into the shop, inquired into the price of an item, and she got a really aggressive response from one of the workmen who said. "There's nothing we can do about the price, and that's an end to it"
Which I thought was really out of order.
I don't know his name, but I do know that the older workman used to work at Ashill recycling centre, but changed location to the Dereham branch as we wanted to work part-time. It'll be a good job when he finishes work completely, as you cannot have someone like that working with the general public.
Hate is a strong word, but I really do despise Dereham Recycling Centre.

Very helpful and friendly with it. I greatly appreciate the people who work here for their recycling efforts, but also for trying to keep the public safe in an industrial environment. Respect to you all. And well done to the council for providing an effective service, and the website guidance.
