I will not be using Dixons skip hire again. My skip arrived as requested on Friday and I asked for it to be collected on Monday. To my surprise, the driver was outside my house within 10 minutes of my call. Up until this moment I would have given them 5 stars however the driver immediately pointed out that my contents were above the line but he won’t mind as long as I have him “money for a drink”. I challenged that and rang the office only to be told “I’m asking for £20, she’ll want £30, I’m trying to save you money” he also threatened to throw the contents out if I didn’t want to pay!
When I got through to the office it was clear they weren’t interested and it felt like a routine thing they do to get more money out of people because she said the same. She also said he can just thrown stuff out if you don’t want to pay. Disgusting behaviour and zero customer service.

Needed a skip at short notice and called several companies who all quoted 5-7 days for delivery. Dixon's price was as cheap as the cheapest quote they were able to deliver on the same day. In fact the skip arrived less than 90 minutes after my call. Office staff and drivers we're all really helpful cheerful and efficient. Escape was collected again exactly when agreed. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again next time we need a skip.

We recently had some fencing work done in our garden, and the landscaping company organised a skip from Dixons. Delivery and collection were exactly as promised so, when we needed a skip this week we looked them up. We found the pricing to be very competitive, delivery within a few hours of making the call, skip placed in the perfect position on our drive, and collection as agreed.

We will definitely use this company again, and can highly recommend them.

I wont be using this company again and I advise others to stay away. Not because of the damage outside of my property done to the pavement, but the terrible attitude of the manager that works at this company. I called to report damage outside my house, just to make them aware that the council have been informed. The response I received was swearing and angrily asked why I told the council and then to hang up on me. I called back and I was put on the phone to the driver where I was uncomfortably told it happened because of xy and z. I don't care about the damage, these things happen, but being sworn at by someone who is supposed to be a manager is not on. I also got to hear how this manager speaks to his staff, bully perfectly describes him. Don't use this company, I certainly wont be. Not only that I was called 4 days into hiring the skip by this same person, being asked how full it is, so they could take it, even though I had hired it for two weeks.

Ellie in the office was so helpful when I was trying to order the right size skip and her advice met our needs. The gentleman who delivered the skip was charming and very pleasant. I emailed to have the skip collected and within 30 mins it was gone (I know they are in demand at the moment) but I was delighted. Wayne the gentleman who came to collect was very nice and went the extra mile to take some plastic for me. First time we have used Dixons and I would certainly recommend to others.

I always use this company for any skips I may need. They always provide an excellent and professional service. Always arrive on time. They have also been very understanding when due to health problems I haven’t managed to fill the skip on time. I would recommend this company to anyone.

A good resolve to a difficult situation, I would recommend them now.

I called to arrange for collection of a skip and to order a larger one to be delivered. Rude is an understatement. Male who I spoke to told me to 'f*^k off' and that I was having a 'f*^king joke' when I asked for the skip to be removed asap.
However;
I emailed the company directly on Saturday when this occurred, before 9:30 Monday morning I had received a phone call from a lovely gentleman named Warren. He was as shocked as I was by the attitude from the weekend and assured me that this wasn't the type of attitude or behaviour that this business works on. I believed him. He was able to resolve my issue and go, I believe, above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident with Dixons.

I would recommend using Dixons. They are quick to deliver and other than the one person, who at the time did alter my opinion, all the staff have been great.

The owner Darren is extremely rude and unprofessional. Had a skip delivered (not the cheapest) and was advised needed a collection date. Told the young girl didn’t know for sure, depended on the builder, would maybe need a swop out etc I would confirm when ready to collect. She pencilled in a collection date but I reiterated I would confirm when ready. Had skip 5 days,1/3rd full and they collected it. Had the pleasure of speaking, well sorry being shouted at..yes shouted although I am a customer by the unprofessional bully that is the owner Darren Dixon. I have never been spoken to like that before and his exact words are it’s your fault, he constantly shouted over the conversation( if you can call it that!) Having read earlier the other reviews it seems it’s an ongoing theme of how rude and aggressive he his. He refunded £50 of the £144 for 1/3rd skip but it’s his unprofessional, appalling customer service that this review is for. I feel for the ladies that work for him. Plenty of other good skip company’s in Sheffield absolutely no need to use this one and be shouted at for your money.
