I was previously under the care of Blackfriars Medical Practice in Salford, where I felt genuinely supported and looked after. My treatment plan was stable, carefully managed, and most importantly — it was working. I never had any issues and always felt safe and heard.

Everything changed when I had to move to Oldham due to my disabilities and the need for support from my family. I registered with Chowdhury Medical Practice, and from the very beginning, the experience has been nothing short of devastating.

The doctors there completely overturned my established medication plan with no proper discussion or understanding of my condition. Without warning, my repeat prescriptions were changed from monthly to weekly — despite my mobility issues and the fact that I physically struggle to get to the pharmacy so often. It felt like no one cared about how this would affect me.

What hurt me the most was when Dr. Hussain falsely wrote in my medical records that I had a history of overdosing — something that has never happened. Although he later admitted the mistake and added a note, the damage was already done. That false accusation still sits in my record, and now every new GP I see is greeted with a lie that questions my character and integrity. It has left me feeling ashamed, even though I have done nothing wrong.

The attitude of the staff was cold, dismissive, and at times outright hostile. I felt like a burden — like I wasn’t worth their time or care. They showed no empathy, no willingness to listen, and certainly no respect for the treatment plan that had helped me for years.

This experience broke me. I felt helpless, humiliated, and completely alone. I have since deregistered and moved to another practice, but the emotional and practical impact of what happened at Chowdhury Medical Practice is still with me. I’m now left hoping that other doctors won’t judge me based on one GP’s careless, inaccurate words.

This practice turned a safe and stable medical journey into one filled with anxiety, fear, and deep sadness. I would not wish this experience on anyone.

I’ve been registered with this practice for over 10 years, though I’ve only needed to visit about five times during that period. Unfortunately, every time I go, it feels like I’m disturbing the staff and doctors rather than receiving care.
My most disappointing experience has been with Dr. Vinod. He is without a doubt, the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. He often sees two patients at once 🤬one inside the room and another waiting right at the door. Each consultation barely lasts a minute, which feels rushed and dismissive, even faster than an AI diagnosis.
Dr. Vinod showed no interest in listening to my concerns or understanding my symptoms. And it’s not just me after speaking with several other patients, I found that many share the same view about Dr. Vinod. If necessary, I’m happy to provide evidence or details of these shared experiences. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening. Someone needs to remind him that his salary comes from taxpayers like us and he has a duty to treat patients with respect and attention.

If it was possible to give zero rating they would definitely get that. They’re not deserving of even one star. The worst GP practice you could ever join. The receptionists are very incompetent, say one thing and then never follow it up or get back to you. It’s like going through life and death to try and get an appointment. Strongly recommend to stay away from this practice.

The receptionist was absolutely disrespectful the reception team didn't inform me that they were going to change the doctor who my son had an appointment with but they gave my son appointment a nurse instead of the doctor the nurse's name was Nefa.

Receptionist called Rohima is absolutely disgusting. Don’t know what she did to get this job. Terrible speaking skills and most of all terrible customer service. Rude is an understatement. Acts above her pay wage seriously don’t get why these receptionists think it’s ok to talk this way. Chowdhury practice need to reexamine who they hire or offer this Little girl intensive training. DISGUSTING behaviour and very irresponsible. Would give zero stars if I could.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the way appointments has been handled by the reception team. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, I have not received a satisfactory response or solution.
During the years there has been no progress towards finding a resolution.
I feel that my concerns have not been taken seriously and that the management team has not made a genuine effort to address the issue.
This lack of action on the part of management has not only caused my parents personal frustration and stress, but it has also affected their ability to live their personal life effectively.

Excellent service from all staff at the practice. Never had any issues. Reception staff are warm and welcoming. Healthcare staff are professional and helpful.
