Went to Droitwich spa waste tip today,had a heavy bag in the boot of the car that I put in there on my own. I asked one of the people there if he could give me a lift into the skip as it’s quite a bit higher than lifting into the car. He said is it heavy, while standing there with his hands in his pockets watching me drag it over to where it needed to go. He said if you take some out of the bag I might help you. I struggled to lift it on my own but managed at the 2nd attempt. He’d wandered off to go and chat to a colleague. Usually there’s another customer there who will always help but the place was empty except for me and 3 council workers not doing a fat lot.
My main gripe is as I was leaving I drove past him and said, thanks for your help, I’m 74 and managed it on my own to which he stood there and instead of being embarrassed was sarcastically clapping.
I may be wrong but I thought these people were supposed to help when asked?

Friendly and helpful staff. Almost never have to queue, although that's because i pick my times outside of weekend afternoons. And the layout is sensible. Note that this centre does not accept plasterboard.

Went to the tip today and was helped unload the car and empty the garden waste into the correct skip by one of the employees. The gentleman, for that is what he was to me, was Eastern European and therefore confirms all the things I have heard about the respect and hard work our new citizens convey. This is the very first time this has happened to me and I have been using this tip for well over 12 years. Thank you, whoever you were! what a difference you make.

Just returned with my rubbish. Arrived at 5.35 only to be told that the site was closed to ensure all traffic off site by 6:00PM as staff don't get paid overtime. Personally I can't see that it was going to take 25 minutes to clear the backlog. Can you please alter closing times on the website or alternatively employ dedicated staff who want to blame Covid when all they want is to leave work early.

Great as far as tips go! You drive straight up to the metal/wood/garden waste/general bins and there are a few more miscellaneous bins on the way out. Staff sometimes help and will always advise if you're putting things in the wrong place. Queues can get long on Sundays so best to come midweek.

Great facility and I actually think much better since COVID as you can get in and out quicker and are not blocked in with 2 lines of cars. Staff have always been really helpful and very pleasent. Keep up the good work.
