Ian and his team made a beautiful job of sanding three bedrooms plus a living room. It completely changed the flat as the boards were pine and have a lovely light appearance now. Ian was helpful and fitted the job in as I was in a rush to commence work following a tenement fire. He explained the process from start to finish. I would definitely use their expertise again.

Edinburgh Floor Sanders provided an excellent service for my oak floor [sanding + dye/stain + 3 coats of oil]. Produced a lovely finish & the flooring looks almost like newly laid boards.
I would highly recommend & will definitely use you guys again if I have further work needing done.

Ian was helpful enough to fit the job in, despite it being pretty sizeable (120+ sq meters with some pretty awkward areas), in only a couple of weeks after I'd reached out for a quote. Given the floor needed done before other work, this let me start further refurbishment much sooner than I had anticipated 👍.

Got Ian and his team in a few weeks ago to sand the wood floors in my lounge and conservatory. You'll not find a more helpful, mannerable and professional team as the guys from Past & Present Floor Sanding.

I'm more than satisfied with the work they carried out. A first class finish all round. Found Ian's quote to be right in my ballpark figure too. The two quotes I got from other floor sanding companies were a bit pricey, not that it bothered me. I just got the impression Past & Present had more experience, and owned better floor sanding equipment, so chose them to do the work.

Thanks to this firm, the floors in my home are like new again, so would have no second thoughts about recommending Past & Present to anyone looking to get their flooring refurbished.

Ian Watt and his team are excellent. My 20-year old red oak floor is now so smooth and looks better than ever. Ian is a true craftsman: careful, thorough, and knowledgeable and he has imparted those qualities to the rest of his team. I changed my mind about the sort of finish I wanted and Ian was fine with that and did the change at no extra cost. The team also turn up when they say they will. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to have a hardwood floor sanded in Edinburgh.
