I recently visited and I was thoroughly impressed. I was a woman visiting on my own and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite. It's a nice change from the previous contract staff who used to work there, who were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. One gentleman in particular, who was wearing ear tubes (though I didn't catch his name), was especially helpful, guiding me on where to go and even assisting with some of the heavier items I had. The whole process was efficient and well-organised, and I really appreciated their friendly, professional attitude. It's great to see such excellent service restored to our local tip in Farnham - thank you!

I hadn't visited this tip for a year and when I got there the new supervisor started berating me for not having my license on me and or reading the sign. When I explained I didn't know I 'had' to have it he started talking in a belittling tone to me as if I'd knowingly broken a law! Instead of a lecture he could of asked me to go back and get it but just gave me a window sticker anyway. I explained I have never ever been asked for it previously and he said this is why they (old staff) have all been sacked.
I had this rudeness from the previous crew and I suggest now rules are being enforced they speak to people who don't know this with a bit more tact.

Went to Farnham recycling centre today and the queue was back to the shepherd and flock roundabout. As I got nearer to go through to the tip a guy came up to my car and asked why my sticker wasn’t on show.(Guy with bald head) I told him my car was cleaned and obviously got taken with it. He was then so rude. I was a female on my own just getting rid of my rubbish and I felt so humiliated and it was if he was doing it as I was on my own. He asked me for ID which I informed him I didn’t have so then he read me the riot act saying I should know that when you come here you need to show ID. I told him I have never shown ID. When the last sticker was issued it was given to my partner by a different gentleman who appeared very reasonable and no ID was mentioned. So the guy today then started saying show me the guy that issued it then, so I told him it was given to my partner. He then went on to say that he could refuse me entry and make me turn back around and not let me in. I gave him my postcode and then he mentioned about putting sticker in window and what would happen in the future. So I then told him I won’t be coming in the future as I’m moving. This man made me feel as though I had done something seriously wrong and the worst part is to pick on a women who was on her own. The queue was still out on the road at this point. He would never of spoke to me like that if my partner was in the car. This man needs to learn on his people skills and not pick on lone women

Easy access, the bins are laid out and labelled so you can sort your stuff out and the staff are very helpful if you’re not quite sure which bin things should go in. Will be making several trips as I de-clutter this spring!

The queue to enter the site and to get to the various parts of the site was long.
What was most disappointing was how aggressive a particular member of staff was. Of all the people in the site we were earmarked and told that we needed to produce evidence of where we lived or we would be removed from the site.
We were the only black people in the site at the time.
This did not happen to us when we lived in London.

This site is closed far too often during working hours for up to half an hour to ‘compact or move skips’. I’m convinced the staff are probably taking a fifteen minute coffee break as well, it’s ludicrous how long they close it for.

I have been going to Farnham dump over the past couple of weeks due to clearing out a house. The staff are so helpful and friendly and are always on hand to help with heavy lifting. Albert and other staff members are always cheerful and polite and enjoy light hearted banter with users. The site is well organised and maintained. It does get busy but the staff do their best to keep everything moving in a safe and efficient way. The bins are all clearly labelled but if in any doubt the friendly staff will help.
