I've been a longstanding patient here and there's always been a good level of care but the last year or so the team have really excelled and made a lot of brilliant changes. So I had to leave a review to balance out some of the negative ones as I'm really impressed with their receptionists, prompt appointments and GPs/nurses.

I have only had positive experiences at Fell Cottage Surgery. GPs have been consistently of a high standard, and nursing staff very pleasant. Back office team that do referrals have always been amazing. Receptionists do a tough job, due to demand, so tend to get a bad wrap on reviews through no fault of their own.

I have been registered with Fell Cottage Surgery all of my life. My Doctor is fantastic, couldn't ask for a better service. Today I had a question for one of the Reception girls who then popped me onto the Secretary. They were absolutely lovely and sooo helpful as if nothing was a problem. Thank you so much!!!!!

I’ve been with this surgery now for several years and I honestly can't fault them at all. All staff are courteous and polite. On a recent visit staff were ensuring that the welfare of patients during the amazing weather that we were experiencing waiting to see the doctor was upheld by asking “are you ok, would you like some water”? I truly appreciated this. We’re quick to criticise to complain, rather than to Thank and Commend the staff of the NHS. Thank you kindly for everything that you do for our community. Keep up the great work, I’m proud to be a member of the surgery in which you represent.

I have complex medical needs and I admit to not being the best of patients but everyone at this practice has always shown me absolute care. Yes this is a busy practice and sometimes the phone lines are busy but twice in the past month I have received an appointment with my favoured named doctor for within 2days of requesting.Some of my problems are life threatening but all the medical team treat me professionally and with respect and I feel safe in their care . The negative comments by some reviewers do not match my experiences

Having read the negative reviews for this surgery I feel compelled to respond. Having been with this practice for over 40 years I simply don't recognise these negative comments. The practice has been with me through a heart attack, cancer and heart failure apart from the more minor complaints and I have always had the best of attention and care. Making appointments is not difficult (particularly since being able to make them online) though sometimes it is not always possible to get an early appointment with the Dr. of choice. I have always found the staff very helpful and courteous. In short I do not recognise the negative reviews and wonder if they are reviewing a different practice!
