Some people think these power stations are ugly I personally don't think like that, you can get great views of this place from the side of the River Aire or the canal.

8 Huge chimneys to remind you your in the north. Always loved it always will. Big massive and very gigantic cloud machine that also lets you know you exactly half way between Edinburgh and London.

Big fan. I loved this power station. I often take the 4 hour drive up to Pontefract just to have a peek at this beautiful example of brutalist architecture at it's finest. I also love the amount of pollution it causes, spiting those awful millennials.
7/7 will definitely come again.

Somebody has had to lay all those bricks in the cooling towers. Mentalists. Could've been put towards brick BBQs in thousands of people's gardens locally. Can't beat loading the car up with a bit of free coal mind.

My father worked at "C" during its commissioning in the mid sixties. I was at school when the teacher pointed, open mouthed, at the window and we all saw the 3 towers collapse. No other pupil had a relative working at the power plants. I was worried all day until I got home to find out my Dad was okay.
