A good combination of easy to use accessible online services and actually being able to speak to a real customers services representative.
I have not given a 5 star review as there are sometimes issues with missed waste collections and I have to sometimes chase up on requests, but because each issue/customer service request has a unique number allocated to it. The customer representative can always pull up current information avoiding the need to re-explain everything.

I was very happy with the two Customer Success Executives Rob and Maya who both deserve a mention for their recent help they have provided me on moving my sites to more environmentally friendly recycling and food waste collections.

Bad service!
Every single collection has been significantly late or completely missed.
Reported missing collections via the portal or phone line with no effect, no improvement and no explanation.
Strongly recommend to use other services.

Terrible service and customer service also non existent. They missed our collection (they came earlier than our alloted time and then just drove on), you complain all week and get no return call (after being told several times I will be called back). Very, very disappointed.

Appalling service since December.

We have been with First Mile for years and overall service has been better than some other waste service providers and is relatively good value. I also like their green credentials and commitment to the environment (although you never really know if it is just green washing).

Since December, however, there have been constant missed collections and we ended up being fined £250 in January by the council for fly tipping because they missed a collection and they found some of our bags on the pavement.

It can't be that complicated to do two lifts per week but their operations department is a shambles at the moment.

Customer service always polite and apologetic but seem unable to get things resolved in a timely manner at the moment. Most annoying has been when they send messages saying a driver has been dispatched and nobody comes. Even worse when they then send a message saying collection completed when it wasn't - a downright lie.

Enough is enough. I've had enough and looking elsewhere...

Absolutely useless, so far every single weekend missed the collection, don’t respond to missed collection reports, and customer service just put you on hold for hours… Avoid at all costs!!!

Absolute joke of a service, our business has been taken over by first mile for Redbridge Council. Ever since it’s been constant chasing for missed collections, so far every single week!!! This week called them 2 days in a row to carry out their commitment to us, been reassured twice and still no collection. Have to find a new supplier asap for our business to function.

Update 13/9/24. Been calling all day today as it’s Friday, missed collection was Monday. Called Wednesday, Thursday and today, 9am, 12pm, 2pm, and on hold now. Kept promising it will be done today, with different info each time, 2pm it was we communicated with driver they are on route. Now 4pm, apparently they came and left, bins are still there FULL. They are very sorry but it will definitely happen tomorrow morning. We’ve got last weeks trash in the bins, smelling awful, and have events tonight and tomorrow!!!! This is beyond a joke
