I arranged for G&B Recovery to transport a car that had been sitting unused for two years. When I initially contacted them, they quoted me £50 and were made fully aware that the car had been stationary for an extended period and that the brakes were likely seized.

However, upon arrival, they unexpectedly attempted to increase the price by another £50, claiming I hadn’t disclosed the condition of the vehicle — despite the fact that I had clearly done so when booking. I refused to pay more than the agreed amount, as the condition had been communicated upfront and accepted.

To make matters worse, the recovery process took over two hours after they arrived. They ignored my explanation that the vehicle wouldn’t start and only attempted to jump-start it much later. During this delay, they also left the keys inside the car, which resulted in it locking itself. They eventually managed to unlock it using a crowbar.

Overall, the experience was unprofessional and frustrating. Poor communication, unexpected price changes, and careless handling left me disappointed with the service.
