My MR2 broke down about 30 mins away from my house and Keith from Glendinnings came and recovered me 30 mins after I reported the breakdown. Keith couldn’t have been more helpful, he ticked all the boxes and was a really nice bloke. I want to say a massive thank you to you Keith I really appreciate it.

We have lived in Stocksfield for over 15 years. We now have three cars and life is so busy I do not have time to maintain and fix them. My father and his father were in the motor trade for over 70 years and needless to say I learnt a thing or two about cars.

Glendinning Bros are a traditional old fashioned garage. So they are not up to the service levels of Uber or MacDonalds. However, what is refreshing is they listen and can get you out of a difficult situation quickly.

For example this week on the way to Newcastle my alternator packed up. I was left stranded and got a lift home. The following day I went in and asked if they could help. Sure, charge the battery up with another car, switch evetmrything off and you will get here.

Unfortunately, just a couple of miles away the battery died so I lost my transmission, brakes ... steering, that is the trouble with modern cars.

I called Glendinning and after 15 mins Alan arrived with a battery pack so I could drive to their garage.

24 hours later the car was fixed with new alternator and belt.

The cost was very reasonable, service was excellent.

Ignore the poor reviews, the team are like your Grandma and Grandad. Just take it easy with them, be patient and you will be rewarded.

I will not use anyone else in a 15 mile radius from Prudhoe.

Brilliant recovery service back to teesside, a fair price and great staff. The recovery driver was profferional noligible and an all round top bloke!

Absolutely Excellent. Broke down nearby, breakdown company unable to attend for several hours. Arrived almost immediately after phoning and got me going for a very reasonable price.

Took my Renault Scenic to them with a water leak, so they replaced the thermostat housing. However, when collecting the car, numerous warning lights and messages were now appearing on the dashboard. They couldn't sort this out and said I'd have to take it to Wylam Renault Garage in Hexham. Wylam discovered that the ECU had been unplugged and reconnected badly so that multiple pins were bent, causing lots of shorts. They gave me a photo showing this damage. Wylam Garage also confirmed that the ECU would have to be disconnected in order to change the thermostat housing and I know that no one else had worked on the car. However, Glenndinings refused to accept that they had caused this damage (the old "it was like that when you brought it in" routine). It definitely wasn't! So, I was left to pay for the repair to the ECU at Wylam Garage.

Wonderful response, the recovery driver went above and beyond to help us, a stranded couple from Runcorn, advised of problem and how to resolve, recommended a local garage and was so friendly and helpful for someone 170 miles from home.

Phenomenal service, thank you so very much. Car recovered and fixed within a matter of hours. Brakes had failed due to lines bursting. I popped into the garage at 5pm on Wednesday having got a lift home and at 12pm on Thursday they called me to share it was fixed and ready to collect from the garage. The price was reasonable, work was completed swiftly and the customer service is fantastic.
