My family and I have received an excellent service from GRMC when needed (which has been on a few occasions…). Previously Kirsten Smith has been excellent, and more recently Geeta Iyer has been very kind, caring and attentive on several occasions. We have also seen others at times, and have been very happy with the care. Thank you to all.

In general, I think there are many good doctors there. However, I just found out that Dr. Anna Cuskin, whom I think it's the most caring GP left the service a couple of months ago...What a loss for all the patients of GRMC. Wondering does anyone know that where Dr. Cuskin is practicing now?

Received an email asking me to book a flu jab at the surgery. Contacted them by phone after finally battling through the automated system. Requested a time for a jab only to be told the last clinic was on Oct 22nd and that was all booked. I asked when the next clinics were only to be told that was it....presumably the flu works within these boundaries. What a joke, why email people to them tell them there is no service. I'll take my chances with the flu...

Was seen by James O'Connor and he was completely dismissive of everything I queried about. My concerns were disregarded and was told multiple times to "just deal with it".
His manner and professionalism were non existent and he's shown no empathy whatsoever.
You could see from the start that he had no intention of helping a patient. Wouldn't bother to reply to hello, blank stares and as soon as I sat down, I was told I need to hurry up and we'll need to rush through the appointment....even though I was not late and it was only his 2nd appointment of the day.
This will be reported to the clinic and NHS as well.

The two stars are for the doctor only.
I called up because my ear was blocked but the receptionist just told me I needed to go ashgrove pharmacy, I went there, and their doctor gave me an incorrect diagnosis saying there was an infection, so I was prescribed a steroid spray. It didn’t work so I called Gloucester Road medical centre again, this time I actually got to speak with a doctor, who looked in my ear and found that the blockage was caused by a large chunk of wax. So all this rubbish could’ve been avoided if the receptionist had actually allowed me to book an appointment in the first place. My dissatisfaction was caused only by the dismissive attitude of the receptionist who I called on a Tuesday. So long story short, doctors are good here, but the receptionist caused me a lot of unnecessary hassle and I ended up buying expensive medication which I didn’t need.

I came to the surgery twice in 2021/2022 with chronic serious calf pain and was rudely dismissed by both female GPs, told to ā€˜drink more water’ and ā€˜exercise more’ despite my symptoms, couldn’t have been chucked out quicker.
Now three years later my pain is unbearable and I’m having to chase up urgent private help for nerve damage issues in the leg at only 23 years old. I know it’s hard to diagnose certain things but I just wish they took the time to even consider listening to concerns before disregarding as now I’m left unable to work and desperately looking for a diagnosis in bad health so young. Their rudeness and ignorance at my issues left a lasting impact on me and made this whole thing so much harder to find help for.

Despite health service constraints, clinical and non-clinical staff I and my elderly father have encountered at this surgery over the years consistently work hard to provide a high quality service with patience, professionalism and dignity.

We fortunately don’t go to the GP very often, but all the years we have been registered with this surgery, I can’t fault any of the staff. From reception to the medical team. We are very grateful for the service, help and understanding when we have seen any of the team. THANK YOU
