Appalling service. Tried to book an appointment for my baby 3 weeks in advance they cancelled 2 hours before. Then I called up between 8-11am like they told me to and was told I couldn’t book an appointment for my babies skin rash (which let’s hope it’s not cancer or anything sinister else I will be suing them). Couldn’t book an appointment for my child’s vaccinations either because the receptionist kept insisting she only had appointments on one single Monday of the next 2 months which is the only day I cannot make because of work. Absolutely shocking service.

Everyone at the surgery are just brilliant. They are extremely thorough, kind and clearly under alot of pressure. Yes there is a wait for prescriptions at times but since using the new medi pod I just go in the evenings when its quiet. They have been brilliant to me and my Dad. Thank you!

Very pleased with the service I received. Organisations don't always get it right, but credit given where credit is due and so I feel it only fair to give my view on Gunnislake Health Centre based purely on my experience. Back last December I decided to seek advice from them regarding a suspected inguinal hernia which had been plaguing me for over 2 years. I booked an appointment online, and was offered a date very quickly. During my visit I didn't have to wait long before the doctor was ready to see me, and he was patient and attentive. He diagnosed a hernia and wasted no time referring me for surgery, and even wrote a detailed letter to the hospital. Fast forward 3 months and I am post surgery and recovering well. Thank you to everyone at Gunnislake Health Centre for sorting everything out in a timely and professional manner. This operation is lifechanging and I couldn't have achieved it without your help.

This surgery put me on the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to Covid list erroneously. They then did the same to my husband. They told neither of us they had done this. They shared my private email address to Cornwall Council and the DHSS without my consent. They shared my husband's mobile number without his consent. When I had Covid I had to fight to get any help. One time when I asked to speak to a doctor I found later I had been speaking to the pharmacist. This really impacted the course of my recovery. Although some of the staff are pleasant and even helpful, some are downright rude. Overall it is not a good place.

Ever since covid came along, the whole health centre has gone to pot. You can’t get an appointment face to face for love nor money. The pharmacy is now useless, they ask you to allow 5 days to get repeat prescriptions which normally end up nearer two weeks. When you finely get your prescriptions there is always something missing.

Never had a bad experience with Gunnislake surgery and pharmacy. All the staff work incredibly hard with ever decreasing help from the government. Well done everyone you are amazing and thank you so much.

As normal, appointments were running a little late and the queue to collect prescriptions was appalling, but the staff were great.
