Ever since watching the wombles all those years ago, I've been intrigued by the 'making good use of the things everyday folks leave behind' concept. Fascinating place, should have its own TV show. I'd watch it. TV producers- you can have that idea for free.

Went today for first time since Covid & pleasantly surprised on how much it had changed for the better. The service provided was excellent. Yoonis kindly explained how everything worked, gave me a list of disposable instructions for the future as well as assisting me today. He could not have been more helpful which I gratefully appreciated.

This was my first visit to this site. Very impressed there was no queue! The first thing to mention is that there are two entrance lanes, cars on the left, commercial or vans on the right. Confusing as there were no cars queuing to follow in. Further in a second choice at a barrier, Hillingdon residents (with First card) on the left, others on the right. Before reaching it, there are containers for glass, books, textiles to the right. Only after the barrier are the main tips for appliances, general, paper/cardboard, garden, in that order. It would be helpful if the website had a map to help plan the visit. I could only offer a brief sketch here.. Update: Staff very helpful for access by van. After showing Hillingdon First card and proof of residence, was allowed to take in dismantled garden shed and all its contents.

Staff on site are very helpful and organised. Traffic management outside is terrible. Guys are doing their best but it has obviously not been thought out/executed well enough. This is a comment on special measures put in place during Lockdown

Very organised, cleaned and very easy to get to. Don't forget your Hillingdon First Card to get in by car. By van you will need 2 forms of ID ( a photo ID and a household bill dated within the last 3 months).

First time here in over a decade. So the help of the guy with sparkling sunglasses was great. Top man.

Expect to have a wait as every other bay is coned off, which is a good thing as its not so busy there. Staff pointing out which bays to park in. I went late Saturday afternoon about 10 cars in front of me. Didn't take to long to get to a bay about 15min.
